SARDI’s, Peter Hayman and SA farmer and consultant, Barry Mudge, have put together a simple spreadsheet called the Rapid Climate Decision Analysis tool. This Excel spreadsheet investigates the economic sensitivity of a farming decision to a range of forecast outcomes.
Many farming decisions turn out to be unaffected by the climate forecast and are often just good management, based on known information at the time of a decision. Let Barry and Peter explain how to use it in the video below.
